Following in the footsteps of the hugely popular Antworks, comes the Antquarium Mini Portable - take it anywhere with you! Watch ants live and burrow into the highly nutritious, transparent and non toxic gel, creating an amazing pattern of tunnels. Antquariums were developed from NASA technology created to study and understand the development of animal life without gravity. The gel has special properties ensuring it does not compress and crush the ants by the immense g forces during NASA Space Shuttle take off. May 2000 saw Space Shuttle S.T.S. 107 circumnavigate the earth with the antquariums on board. The transparent gel allowed NASA scientists to observe and study the ants during the space flight.

Mini-Antquarium is a portable version of the Antquarium. With its handy pouch and belt clip, kids can carry the Mini-Antquarium when seeking ants in the field or sharing ants with friends. An ant catcher is also enclosed. The Mini-Antquarium is 4.75" H x 1.75" W x 1" D. Packaged in a bright green box (6" SQ). A great outdoor activity for kids!
